You’ll Never Guess Who Will Be Leading Prayer During Trump’s Inauguration!

DECEMBER 28, 2016

At the inauguration ceremonies of past presidents, prayer has been a part of the ceremony. More than a few incoming presidents have incorporated God into their big days. The inauguration ceremony for President-elect Trump will include prayer, but it also has a twist unlike recent presidents.

For Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, at least six prominent clergy members are lined up to pray for Trump and the nation.  The clergy members include Catholic Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Rev. Franklin Graham, Rabbi Marvin Hier, Bishop Wayne. T. Jackson, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez and Pastor Paula White, according to reports.

“In American history, Inauguration Day is one of the most sacred and important celebrations we have as a people, not only because it signifies the peaceful transition of power but also because on this day ‘We The People’ appeal to the favor, blessing and guidance of God on our country, on our people and on our new leadership,”

Pastor Paula White said.

“I am honored to have been asked to offer a reading from Scripture at the upcoming presidential inauguration, and look forward to asking Almighty God to inspire and guide our new President and to continue to bless our great Nation,”

Cardinal Dolan said in a statement.

Rabbi Hier also said he plans to read select passages from the Torah and has every confidence President-elect Trump will do the right thing for America.

Franklin Graham was an outspoken supporter of traditional marriage and ending abortion, things Trump has vowed to support as well. Graham also previously spoke at the inauguration of George W. Bush in 2001.

Catholic Cardinal Timothy Dolan (goes without saying), Rev. Franklin Graham, Rabbi Marvin Hier, Bishop Wayne. T. Jackson, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez and Pastor Paula White are ALL false teachers….

10 Most Important Verses on Prayer in the Bible

Prayer is marvelous. The idea of communicating with the Creator of the universe seems almost ludicrous. Presumptuous maybe? Not to mention intimidating.
Why would God want to talk with us? Is there a right and wrong way to pray? Why does God answer some prayers but not others? Does it matter that we only have a little faith?
Thankfully, the Bible gives us insight into the hows and whys of prayer. Since God invites us to talk with Him, it’s no surprise He gives us guidelines. I’ve compiled a list of what I consider the ten most important verses on prayer:

1. Luke 18:13-14
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Bottom line–the first step in developing a prayer life is calling upon God for salvation.

2. Psalms 66:18
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
Bottom line–we can’t live a consistently sinful lifestyle and expect God to hear our prayers.

3. Psalms 34:15
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
Bottom line–God hears the prayers of those who put their trust in him.

4. Daniel 9:18
…we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
Bottom line–God’s mercy, not our goodness, is the basis for answered prayers.

5.  Psalms 5:3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
Bottom line–when we pray, we can wait in eager anticipation for God to work on our behalf.

6. 1 John 5:14
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Bottom line–God answers every prayer that aligns with his will.

7. James 4:3
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Bottom line–God will say no to our prayers if we ask for something for the wrong reason or for the wrong purpose.

8. Matthew 26:42
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Bottom line–we can surrender our will to God’s in complete confidence that he knows what’s best.

9. Mark 9:24
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Bottom line–it’s not how much faith we have that matters, but who we have faith in.

10. James 5:16
…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Bottom line: The prayers of godly believers work.

I don’t know why God uses the prayers of His people to accomplish His work in the world, but I’m glad He does. I’m humbled to think we can talk to Him at any time of the day or night. I’m grateful that He’s never too busy to hear our prayers and act on our behalf.
My prayer for us all is that we will never take for granted the privilege and the power of prayer.

What If We Prayed Christ “Clear Through”?

Editor’s Note: Do you pray Christ “clear through?” In this blog post, Steve Hall challenges us to pray the lordship of Jesus over everything we pray.

When I was about ten years old, my grandma told me that whenever I prayed, I should “pray clear through.”
This wasn’t just good advice then—it’s also good advice now. It seems we’re at a point in time when we ought to be praying “clear through.”

You’re probably already praying for many people and situations, but I’m going to suggest that through the end of this year, as many believers as possible unite in prayer for Christ’s lordship—his presence and rule—over every part of our lives, and over all other people, places, and situations the Holy Spirit gives us a burden to pray for.

It seems like almost everywhere I turn, there are needs and/or crises. I imagine you’re experiencing the same—frustration, sin, fear, violence, hopelessness, stress, pain, and disease abound. Mankind’s solutions are inadequate.

While we know that Christ is the only answer and hope, we don’t consistently place every person or situation into his hands. Why not?

For quite a few years, I’ve been studying who Christ is. He’s the Eternal God, Creator, and Sustainer of the Universe. He’s the Alpha and Omega, Radiance of God’s Glory, Savior of the World, Resurrection and the Life, King of kings, Lord of lords, and infinitely more.  As Peter says in Acts 10:36, “…Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all:)

In light of his limitless authority in Matthew 18:20, and many other places in the Bible, it seems like we, and the whole Church of 2016, must pray to the Lord Jesus Christ something like what Moses said to God in Exodus 33:18: “…shew me thy glory.

I believe the Father and the Spirit want the glory of Christ to be resoundingly revealed now to the Church and to the lost and dying on every inch of the earth.
Along these lines, please think with me:

• What will the Spirit do in the life of someone you know who has a dire need (cancer, addiction, marriage crisis, homelessness, loss of a loved one) if you continually prayed for Jesus Christ to be Lord of every part of their life?

• What will the Spirit do in the lives of your unsaved friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers if you continually prayed for Jesus to be Lord of every part of their lives?

• What will the Spirit do in your community if EVERY place you go in (or drive by or walk by) you begin praying for Jesus Christ to be Lord of every person who is associated with those places?

• What will the Spirit do in your church if every time you are involved with your church or ministry you pray that Jesus will be Lord of every person who is part of your church or ministry, including all the messages, worship times, Bible studies, feeding programs, meetings, etc.?
• What will the Spirit do if every time you hear or see anything about government officials (including the candidates for the U.S. presidency) that you pray for Jesus to be Lord of every part of their lives?

• What will the Spirit do if whenever you read or hear any news report or article (local, national or worldwide) you pray for Jesus to be Lord of every person involved? Just imagine how this could impact thousands or millions or even billions of people through the reigning King as he is sitting at the right hand of the Father!

I think if my grandma were writing this blog post, she might plead with us to “pray clear through” for Jesus Christ to be Lord of every person, place and situation because HE IS THE ONLY HOPE OF THE WORLD!

Rescue Your Prayer Life

What does the doctrine of the Trinity have to do with the practice of prayer? Well, the Trinity is something that all Christians believe, but often find difficult to understand, much less explain. And prayer is something that all Christians do, but rarely practice with the consistency and delight they know they should. In the realms of Christian doctrine, the Trinity ranks among the most difficult. Among the disciplines of Christian living, prayer tops the list as most challenging.
But there’s another connection between prayer and Trinitarian theology that helps us better understand the doctrine of the Trinity and make progress in our prayer lives. The connection is in many passages, but most succinctly in Ephesians 2:18 where Paul says, “For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
This sentence is pregnant with significance for understanding who God is and how we can come to Him.

But first, some definitions: What do Christians mean when they talk about the Trinity? Essentially, three things. You might think of these as three strong pillars on which the doctrine of the Trinity rests.
First, we mean that there is only one God. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:” (Deuteronomy 6:4).
Second, this one God exists in three distinct persons, or personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Third, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each fully, equally, and eternally God.
Deny one of those statements, and we get into trouble. If we deny the first and say that there are actually three gods, then we are tri-theists, rather than monotheists. More commonly, people say that there is one God who acts in three different modes, or manifests himself in three different ways, or wears three different hats: the Father, the Son, and the Spirit (much as I myself am a son, a husband, and a father).  But this idea (formally known as modalism), denies the second pillar, and dozens of texts, that affirm the distinct personalities of Father, Son, and Spirit. Others, especially among the cults, teach that the Son and/or the Spirit are somehow inferior to the Father, being less than fully, equally, and eternally God.
But Scripture leads us to affirm all three pillars. There is one God, who exists in three Persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and these three are each fully, equally, and eternally God.

So, what does this have to do with prayer? Well, prayer is essentially talking with God. But communication with God requires access to his presence. Ephesians 2:18 shows us that our access to God involves all three Persons of the Trinity.
We have “access…to the Father.”
But that access to the Father is “through him” – Jesus Christ, God’s Son, who reconciles us to the Father (see Ephesians 2:11).
But notice further that our access to God is “in one spirit“. This means that our prayers are enabled and empowered by the Spirit.
So, when we pray we come to Father, through the Son, in the Spirit. Prayer is communion with the Three-in-One God.
Now, how can this rescue your prayer life?
Sometimes we hesitate to pray, because of unbelief. We’re not sure God really cares about our needs. But this is to forget that we’re praying to our Father, who already knows our needs and invites us to come to him as little children.
At other times, we wrongly think we’ve got to manufacture certain feelings or emotions in order to pray. But Paul says that we have access to God in the Spirit. The Spirit is the One who enlivens our hearts and enables us to pray.

All too often, we feel compelled to pray from a sense of duty. (Good Christians pray, therefore, if I want to be a good Christian, I should pray.) Or, we’re held back from prayer by a sense of guilt. (Only good Christians can really come to God. I haven’t been very good lately, so I’m not worthy enough for God to hear my prayers.) Worst of all, sometimes we can feel confident about prayer because we’ve been keeping our Christian noses clean!
But, don’t you see? This is self-reliance and legalism. This kind of thinking and praying, neglects the work of the Son in reconciling us to the Father. When we live and pray like this, we’re not coming through Jesus. We’re coming on the basis of our own merits. And there is no access to God that way. But when we remember that our access to God is through Christ alone, then we can come boldly to the throne of grace in the confidence that God will forgive our sins and hear our prayers, for Jesus’ sake.

Catholicism Versus The Bible

By David J. Stewart
Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” –Jesus, Mark 7:9

One of the great wonders of the world to me is how anyone could claim to be a Catholic and still believe the Bible is God’s Word.  Even the Catholic Douay version of the Bible condemns the Catholic faith repeatedly.
The honest truth is that Catholics have been brainwashed to accept the traditional teachings of the Vatican as superior to whatever the Word of God actually says.
Jesus plainly condemned placing the traditions of religion over the Word of God (Mark 7:6-13).  Psalm 118:8 admonishes, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
I’ll give you several examples of how the Catholic religion contradicts the Bible, placing man’s tradition over God’s Word.

Bowing to Mary is Idolatry!

There is absolutely NOTHING in the Bible leading Christians to recognize Mary, adore Mary, or talk to Mary.  Although most Catholics deny worshipping Mary, a picture is worth 1,000 words.
The picture of Pope John Paul II adoring Our Lady of Fatima and the photo of Catholics bowing to Mary are clear irrefutable evidences of idolatry.  Look up the word “worship” in any dictionary and you’ll find that Catholics do indeed WORSHIP Mary and other hordes of dead saints.  Those who want to fellowship with the Roman Catholic Church and accept it as a true “church” are ignoring its blasphemous teachings concerning Mary.   The Catholic religion is straight out of the pits of Hell!
Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols” – Psalm 97:7

The Vatican II Council and the New Catholic Catechism reaffirmed that Mary is the sinless Mother of God, that she ascended bodily to Glory (i.e., the Assumption of Mary)
and was crowned as the Queen of Heaven, that she can hear and answer prayer. Of course, no such teachings are found ANYWHERE in the Bible. Mary is NOT the queen of heaven, she did NOT ascend bodily, and Mary certainly is NOT sinless!  The mother of Jesus was a sinner!
Where in the world did anyone ever get the twisted idea that Mary was sinless?  No such teaching is taught in the Word of God.  The Bible is clear in Romans 3:23 … “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”  That includes Mary! The ONLY sinless being who ever walked this earth was the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15).
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God…” – Exodus 20:4,5

The Rosary is Unbiblical and Sinful
Again, there is NOTHING taught in the Bible about praying a Rosary, counting beads, etc. In fact, Jesus condemned vain repetitions, “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking” (Matthew 6:7).  So why do Catholics disobey God? The Catholic Rosary is largely a prayer to Mary. The Rosary is blasphemy!
Though Catholics like to point out that they are not praying to Mary, the 2nd of the ten commandments clearly prohibits and warns us NOT to BOW DOWN to any graven image. God in the 2nd commandment even goes as far as to warn us against bowing down to the likeness of anything in HEAVEN OR EARTH.
Mary worship is a sin!
Pope John Paul II is a great Mary lover. In his book Crossing the Threshold of Hope, the Pope testifies that his personal devotion to Mary was developed at Marian sites such as Jasna Gora (home of the Black Madonna) in his homeland of Poland (Crossing the Threshold of Hope, p. 220).  The Pope has “Totus Tuus” (All Yours) embroidered on his papal garments, designating his “abandonment to Mary” (Crossing the Threshold of Hope, p. 215).
After the Pope was shot during an assassination attempt in May 1981, he attributed his subsequent recovery to Mary, and it was at shrines such as Jasna Gora and Fatima that he has expressed his thankfulness to the “Queen of Heaven.” He prays to Mary daily.  This is an abomination unto the Lord.
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” –Isaiah 42:8

False Prophets Forbid Eating Meat and Getting Married

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats…” (1 Timothy 4:1-3).  It’s not difficult at all to EXPOSE the demonic Catholic faith if a person is simply willing to believe the Bible over Catholic tradition–but that’s the BIG PROBLEM … Jesus said in Matthew 15:9, “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”  The Bible teaches that Peter had a wife (Matthew 8:14).  Yet, Catholic priests are wrongfully denied the God-given privilege to marry. The results have been tragic.

It’s almost impossible to convince a Catholic that all of their priests, archbishops, cardinals, and even the Popes are heretics. I can tell you with great certainty my friends–they are all LIARS!  How can I be so bold as to say such a thing?  It’s simply because I have in my hand the eternal, inspired, inerrant, infallible, preserved, Words of God.  Most Catholics DON’T genuinely believe the Bible.  Rather, they have sold their souls to a bunch of religious charlatans (priests) who commit blasphemy by claiming to have the power to forgive your sins.
Please read, Who Can Forgive Sin? by Pastor Max D. Younce. Even the self-righteous hypocritical Pharisees knew better than to be so arrogant as to claim the power to forgive someone’s sin … “And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying … Who can forgive sins, but God alone?” Woe unto the Catholic Church, for it is a prisonhouse of religion.  Romans 10:3-4 proclaims, “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Call No Man “Father” or “Master” – Priests Cannot Forgive Sin!

Even the Catholic Bible states in Matthew 23:8-11, “But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” Simply stated, the Bible condemns allowing ministers to come between us and God.
We read in 1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”  Jesus condemned recognizing any man as the “vicar” of God, or as a having special privileges or powers from God. Catholics are taught to believe that the Pope is literally God’s messenger upon the earth.  When El Papa speaks, Catholics worldwide hinge on every word, as if God Himself were speaking. The above picture speaks volumes against Catholicism.  It should be obvious to the spiritually-minded believer that satan is conditioning the masses to receive the Antichrist when he comes.
It is sinful to recognize any man, priest, or minister, as a spiritual AUTHORITY over you. This is what Jesus meant when He prohibited calling ministers or priests, “Father” or “Rabbi” or “Master.” We are not to give them that right. God’s Word is the FINAL AUTHORITY! Not the Jewish Kabbalah. Not the Qur’an. Not the Jewish Rabbi.  Not the Pope. Not the priest.  Not the minister. Not the Church. Most Catholics have totally submitted themselves to their local priest. This is why so much sexual-molesting of children has transpired over the decades within the Catholic Church–because people SUBMIT to ungodly authorities which the Bible says not to.
We should only submit to God, and His Word (KJV).  Preachers and ministers ONLY have the power of INFLUENCE; but, the Word of God (KJV) is to be our measuring stick by which we size them up. If they fail to present the Word of God faithfully, then we are to forsake them, as we should all false prophets!  We must NEVER allow men to lead us away from God.

Worshipping Men and Their Manmade Doctrines

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.” –Matthew 23:5-7

It is so strange how the Word of God condemns the Catholic religion in plain Words; yet, Catholics BLINDLY follow the Pope and priests. It says in Matthew 23:9, in black and white, even in the Catholic Douay Bible, not to call any man “Father.”  Yet, that is exactly what Catholics call their priests, cardinals, and Bishops.
The Bible plainly states in 1 Timothy 4:1-3 that false teachers would come to us, teaching doctrines of devils: forbidding to marry, and forbidding to eat meat. The celibacy requirement for all priests is a devilish doctrine.  The Catholic forbiddance of meat, or certain meats, on certain days, are doctrines of devils. God plainly tells us to enjoy the meat He has given us to eat, as long as we are thankful for it (1 Timothy 4:4).
Mark 7:6-13 plainly teaches that we are never to follow the traditions of men. Yet, the Catholic religion is one big conglomerate of traditions fabricated over the centuries.  It wasn’t until the year 1950 that Pope Pious XII decided to make the Assumption of Mary an official Catholic doctrine, a doctrine not found anywhere in the Bible.

Exodus 20:4-5 couldn’t be any clearer that even BOWING down to a statue is idolatry.  Yet, Catholics foolishly claim that they are not worshipping the statues they are bowing down to, BUT, GOD forbids us from even bowing to statues.  In fact, the Bible is so clear on this matter that the Vatican has even REMOVED the second of the Ten Commandments to deceive you.  No wonder 1st Timothy 4:2 states, “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.”  Everything that the Catholic Church has taught you is twisted, corrupted, and damnable!!!
And their conscience’s are calloused, harder than steel.  In the old days, a wounded soldier would sterilize and seal his would by placing a red-hot sword over the affected area.  Ouch!  As you can imagine, placing a red-hot sword over any area of your body is going to kill all sensation to that area for a very long time.  The Bible teaches that false prophets have their hearts seared, as with a hot iron.  In other words, the same sun that melt the wax, hardens the clay.  The Bible directs us to “Refuse profane and old wives’ fables…”  Every Catholic needs to REFUSE to believe the lies of Catholicism any longer, and turn instead to the precious Word of God.

CATHOLICISM: A Prisonhouse of Religion!
The Roman Catholic church is a cesspool of homosexual perverts and pedophilesPedophilia and homosexuality are inseparable (as many as 50% of all Catholic priests are Sodomites).
There is NOTHING in the Bible about praying to statues. There is NOTHING in the Bible about not eating meat on Fridays. There is NOTHING in the Bible about worshiping the dead. There is NOTHING in the Bible about digesting Jesus’ flesh and blood. The Catholic religion can’t make up it’s mind and keeps changing its dogma (doctrine). In fact, here’s a a long list of Catholicism’s manmade heresies and when they were fabricated.  Catholics just keep making it up as they go.
Catholicism is a lie of the devil, a prison-house of religion. If I didn’t sincerely care about Catholics, then I wouldn’t take the time to WARN you. The Catholic religion is all a bunch of satanic lies based upon traditions and ridiculous manipulations of the Word of God. I plead with you as a friend, obey the Bible by turning to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith and forsaking the Mother of Harlots. The Great Whore of the Catholic Church will take you to hell with them if you’re foolish enough to follow them.  Don’t do it. Salvation is NOT found in a religion, but in a Person–the Lord Jesus Christ! You need Christianity friends, NOT churchianity.
